What to do : Walk in the mountains, visit chinese historical sites, go on a tour. What you may not like : Crowds in summer, people wanting you to use their tours...
Where to eat ? Anywhere along the same street, lots of good food at decent prices. What to see/visit : Buy a map from the bus station, 3Y, covers the town and the county. See the dragon pools scenic area, ~6 hour trek along concrete/stone paths down into a valley to see waterfalls and pool, stunning views from the cliff sides. Lots of other walks in local mountains. Huangyangjie post where the red army had an important victory, and many other historical sites. Itinerary advises: Tours not the best idea as orientated toward Chinese tourists, museums and historical sites only have chinese explanations. Better to get a minibus, a lot cheaper. On tours remember to add ~80Y to the quoted (transport price) for tickets.
