« Carnaval: Don’t miss the carnival in the Peninsula of Azuero. If you want
to have it wild and touristy (it is relative of course) go to Las Tablas. There
are 4-5 hotels only so you will have to reserve in advance or pay the 350 USD
for the 4 days (yes you read well….) in a small tiny room at Hotel Manolo. In
front , a hotel without name is quiet nicer but same price during the carnival.
I advice more to go to the much nicer Ocu or Pedasi at the end of the Peninsula:
2 hotels available at about 10US per night. Atmosphere is also different having
grand mother dancing, children playing into the water,….
During the day you can go also to the unmissable Isla Iguana, nice unspotted
paradise. You have to negotiate a price with fisherman. I helped him fishing and
paid him a couple of beers and had a great time… »
