Description :
A human sized town built next to a lake
boosting some limestone karsts formations and, nearby, the beautiful
Huanghushan area.
Comments : The karsts peaks are not really worth the fee if you plan to go to Yangshuo but Huanghushan, the best scenery of Guangdong province, certainly is.
What to do : Spend at least half a day walking Huanghushan / Relax by the side of the lake, admiring the karsts peaks from a distance / Penetrate a Song Dynasty wall and explore old streets...
What you may not like : The expensive entrance fees
How long ? one day, waiting for your 3rd class slow boat to Wuzhou...

Things start to be less cozy and more typical : spend the night on the 21:30 evening boat and enjoy a special treatment in a beautifully designed 3rd class compartment : hundreds of bed on two level (the higher, the best) with wood separation to guard your 50cm width space (you can take it off and enjoy a cozy king bed size if you travel with your partner). You will arrive in the morning fresh and perfumed. A sign at the wharf : "Good luck to you"
